* Can I use my dog's harness with the Hawk Star? Absolutely! A harness easily attaches over The Hawk Star Vest. (see above pic)
* Can my dog swim with the Hawk Star? Yes, the Hawk Star is lightweight even when wet. It also dries quickly.
* Will my dog get hot in the Hawk Star? No, the Hawk Star is lightweight and breathable. Of course, any prolonged exposure to heat is not a good idea for dogs.
* Can my dog wear a sweater under the Hawk Star? Absolutely! The straps are long, giving you a great deal of size adjustment for sweaters, weight gain, etc.
* Is there a hole for the leash? No, a hole is not necessary. The neck line is curved so your pet's collar/leash are accessed as normal.
* Is the Hawk Star washable? Yes, you can wash it in the washing machine. We highly suggest you use the delicate cycle and a delicates' bag or pillow case.

These vests fit great and are of great quality. I messaged the seller to make sure of the size and even with my mini doxies having a longer frame the small long size fits perfect. I feel better letting them outside knowing they have some type of protection from the hawks.

Bought to protect my tiny dog. I’m so grateful for this vest, I feel at ease now when I let my little guy out. Within a week, he’s became so used to it that he’d actually wait for me to put it on him before he goes out. I love that it’s not at all uncomfortable for him. Thank you!

The material is light enough that my chihuahua has no problem running around in Texas heat, but holds it shape so it continues to cover her whole body. The vest looked big out of the box but it fit her perfectly.

Thank you thank you. I have tried many vest for “small dogs” many were too heavy for my little dog and too hot for summer wear I do have a vest for winter with spikes but in summer she needs something lighter and I think this technology works better for birds of prey

"One of the worst calls I can receive as a behavior specialist, is a client witnessing their Chihuahua or small breed dog being carried off by a hawk. Unfortunately, it happens more frequently than you would expect. One of our clients had two very large bully breeds and a Chihuahua, and one day on a walk a hawk literally took the Chihuahua even though the other dogs were right there.
